Lawrence R. Goldfarb, JD
Chief Executive Officer of LRG Capital Group, and Portfolio Manager of the LRG Capital Funds
Mr. Goldfarb brings over twenty years of investment banking, trading and legal experience to LRG Capital Group. Recognized as an expert in making direct investments in private and public companies, he specializes in indentifying the financial needs of companies using a unique structuring of transactions that enables businesses to develop and provide investor returns.
Mr. Goldfarb began his career as a tax attorney with the law firms of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy and thereafter with Skadden Arps Meagher & Flom, where he provided tax analysis in connection with a wide variety of complex transactions, including financings, mergers and recapitalizations. Subsequently, Mr. Goldfarb joined Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation as a Partner and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. In 1998 he formed BayStar Capital Management, LLC, a vehicle in which he could fund growth oriented, small capitalization, and publicly traded companies.
Mr. Goldfarb regularly speaks at both national and international private equity and hedge fund conferences and events, has written numerous books and articles on various investment strategies, and is a guest lecturer at business schools, including Columbia and Berkeley.
Mr. Goldfarb serves as a Board Member in several charitable and non-profit foundations such as Ambassadors of Hope and Opportunity, Blue Bear School of American Music, Youth Tennis Advantage and the Joe Toucan Diabetes Project. In February of 2010, he was honored by the American Diabetes Association as Father of the Year. He is president and chairman of the board for the non-profit 142 Throckmorton Theatre and is a major contributor and sponsor to the Scleroderma Research Foundation, The Mill Valley Film Festival, Homeward Bound of Marin, Tipping Point, Northern California Easter Seals, The Del Mar Development Champions Cup benefiting the Los Cabos Children's Foundation, The Esurance Tennis Classic and the Drug Policy Alliance. Stemming from his love of aiding underprivileged youth, the arts, and technology, Mr. Goldfarb continues to be a major contributor to Room to Read, The Lower Eastside Girls Club, Blue Star Music Camps and FIRST - For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology. Mr. Goldfarb also supports several organizations promoting knowledge, awareness and research of Autism such as Autism Speaks, The Ryder Foundation, Oak Hill School and Star Academy. Mr. Goldfarb owns and sponsors the LRG Racing team which competes in the American Federation of Motorcyclists and other racing clubs.
Mr. Goldfarb received his J.D. Cum Laude from Georgetown Law School in 1984, where he was on the Law Journal and published numerous articles, and his B.A. in International Economics from George Washington University in 1981.
Evan A. Kraus, JD

Evan Kraus brings over twenty years of legal, investment and financing experience to the LRG Capital Group. Mr. Kraus launched the merchant bank of LRG Capital Group in 2006 concentrating on commercial financing transactions for real estate developers and business entrepreneurs. He previously served as a commercial lending officer of Tamalpais Bank, Vice President for broker-dealer and bank investment services for American Century Services Corporation, and as Vice President-Mutual Fund Alliances for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
Mr. Kraus has advised and served as legal counsel to various corporations throughout his career. He was Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of NetSource Communications, Inc., an international communications and internet services company, General Counsel to IASCO, a diversified international services company, corporate counsel to CIS Corporation, a lease syndication company and an associate attorney with the Pillsbury law firm in San Francisco from 1984 to 1986. Mr. Kraus received his B.A. degree from Brandeis University, his J.D. law degree from Emory University School of Law and is a member of the California State Bar Association.
Geoffrey Koblick

Geoffrey Koblick is an attorney and real estate broker who has been investing in and managing Marin County commercial real estate since 1985. Mr. Koblick founded a software company (IMSI) in 1983, took it public in 1987, and sold his interest in 2003. Prior to that, he was an attorney for WordStar International Corporation and the law firm of Gunheim & Yturbide. Mr. Koblick's real estate properties have a 69% annual return on equity capital through June, 2008.
Mr. Koblick graduated from University of California at Berkeley, Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J. D. degree from University of California's Hasting College of Law in San Francisco, and is a member of the the California State Bar Association.
Richard Hall

Richard Hall has extensive experience in retail and property acquisition, management and design. Mr. Hall served in various capabilities for the San Francisco retailer that became Macy's West, including store design and merchandising, store management, marketing and advertising, procurement, and vendor relations for store locations in six states.
Mr. Hall has been active in commercial real estate since 1999, focusing on investment, redevelopment, award winning renovation, and property management. Since inception, Mr. Hall's investments have achieved an 84% annual return on equity capital through June, 2008. He received his B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Santa Clara.
Kimberly Lynch, MBA

Ms. Lynch joins LRG Capital Group with over 15 years of investment banking experience which includes an extensive background in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic corporate partnership transactions.
Most recently as president and founder of KTL Consulting, Ms. Lynch advised companies in the software and consumer products sectors on acquisitions, financing strategies, valuation, and financial due diligence. She advised Informatix, Inc. on its acquisition of Tier Technology’s GBPO business unit. Previously, as a Vice President of Merriman Curhan Ford & Co.'s investment banking group, she was responsible for securing and executing equity and debt financings, as well as merger and acquisition transactions, for fast growing health care, technology, media and gaming companies. She led and completed transactions for Redback Networks, Tut Systems, Secured Services, Aastrom Biosciences, and National Lampoon.
Ms. Lynch has extensive Latin America and emerging markets experience. She served as Director of Business and Corporate Development for Yahoo!’s Latin America division where she built key strategic partnerships with leading travel, ISP, wireless, and credit card companies. She also advised Latin American governments and corporate clients in the Debt Capital Markets division of Lehman Brothers in NYC.
Ms. Lynch received her M.B.A from Dartmouth College in 1995 and a B.A. from Colby College in 1988.

Mr. Kajita brings several years of experience in office, financial, and IT administration to LRG Capital Group. He is primarily responsible for the day-to-day business operations and overall management of the LLC. At the University of San Francisco, Mr. Kajita earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature/Writing, Japanese (language), and Asian American Studies.
Eric J. Bentley, MBA + CPA

Mr. Bentley brings over 15 years of valuation, investment banking and management consulting experience to LRG Capital Group. Over the last decade, Mr. Bentley has provided financial advisory services for various technology companies in transactions that aggregate to over $60 billion in value and roles that range from buy and sell side M&A advisory to capital placement agency for technology companies.
From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Bentley was a Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom group for Cowen and Company, LLC leading the mergers and acquisitions advisory effort for growth oriented, small capitalization, and publicly traded technology companies. Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Bentley was a Principal in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Thomas Weisel Partners from 2000 to 2004 where he specialized in advising companies in the communications sector. Prior to that role, Mr. Bentley was a founding member of Merrill Lynch's Technology Mergers and Acquisitions practice based in San Francisco. Mr. Bentley also has worked at BT Securities.
Prior to his investment banking career, Mr. Bentley provided management consulting services while being employed by Arthur Andersen where he also earned his C.P.A. certification.
Mr. Bentley received an M.B.A. with Distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 and a B.A. cum laude from Harvard University in 1990.
Yaron Shamash

Mr. Shamash brings more than 5 years Trading Desk and Operations experience to LRG Capital Group. Most recently he worked in the Operations Department at Presidio Financial Partners where he assisted in supporting a team of advisors that managed accounts for high net worth individuals. Prior to that, Mr. Shamash worked on the Mortgage Backed Securities trading desk at Compass Analytics, LLC.
Mr. Shamash received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He currently holds the Series 62 and 63 licenses.
Alexis Banducci

Ms. Banducci brings more than 5 years of project management, marketing and accounting experience to LRG Capital Group.
Most recently she worked as a senior project manager at Abbott and Company, Inc, leading multiple projects at Fortune 500 corporations and non-profits. Prior to that, as a consultant, she provided bookkeeping and accounting services to various small businesses and individuals.
Ms. Banducci received a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Jeff Glass, MBA

Jeff Glass is a 23-year mortgage industry veteran who has coupled residential loan origination expertise with technological savvy to bring step-ahead competitive advantages to a variety of mortgage enterprises. Previously he held senior lending positions with First Alliance Mortgage, Cupertino National Bank and Unistar Mortgage. He served as Director of Marketing for Tuttle Decision Systems, a mortgage industry risk management and software systems vendor. He also worked as a product management consultant at Microsoft’s HomeAdvisor.com unit, where he helped develop the first web-based multi-lender mortgage application and approval platform. Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
Ken Polowitz

Ken Polowitz began his mortgage career in 1985 with First New York Funding, an affiliate of First Boston Capital Group’s Shelternet Program, an early electronic lending venture. In 1988, he joined Key Bank’s Mortgage Division where he ran retail production for Western New York. In 1991, he joined Reeves Mortgage, an independent mortgage broker, where he oversaw the company’s transition into a mortgage banking operation and helped launch and run its wholesale lending channel. After Reeves Mortgage was acquired by the New York Mortgage Company, Ken continued running the wholesale lending division. In 2003, Ken joined Cameron Financial Group a wholesale mortgage lender headquartered in San Luis Obispo and oversaw wholesale lending for the northern half of California where he recruited and managed all personnel.
Jay Chapler
Director, Emerging Markets
Mr. Chapler has 20-years experience in financial markets and private equity investments. Mr. Chapler spent 12-years working at Wall Street Investment Banks such as Lehman Brothers , JP Morgan Chase and ABN Armo where he structured and sold a range of investments products to the hedge fund investment community including Foreign Exchange, Credit and Interest Derivatives and other structured products. Mr.Chapler led a special risk committee at ABN Amro to evaluate and manage hedge fund counterparty exposure.
Mr. Chapler has also worked and consulted for several high net-worth family offices located in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and Dubai on private equity investments and infrastructure projects. Before entering Wall Street, Mr. Chapler worked as an engineer at Loral Electronic Systems designing tactical strategies for US Fighter Jets such as the F-15 and F-16.
Mr. Chapler has advanced degrees in Computer Science and Electric Engineering from Pace University and Polytechnic University.
