Institutional Investor and Consultant Roundtable The Changing Investment Paradigm: Merging Traditional and Alternative Assets September 23-25, 2007 / The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn - Sonoma, CA This invitation-only Roundtable program will bring together approximately 80 investors, consultants and a limited number of asset manager sponsors for a unique 2 ½ day forum. The roundtable format encourages direct and substantive discussion on market strategies and investment trends. Participants will have the opportunity to meet face to face and build relationships with top-tier consultants and institutional investors from across the country in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Discussions will focus on the blending of alternative and traditional assets and how institutional investors are approaching out of the style-box investing. The uniqueness of this event is that it brings together a wide array of consultants and plan sponsors to offer different perspectives on approaching markets and meeting performance objectives. Interactive sessions, including panel discussions and peer-led breakout groups, will investigate a variety of traditional as well as cutting edge riskier strategies that generate alpha and manage associated risks. Special focus will be put on alternative investments with an emphasis on the changing world of hedge funds. BAS Venture’s goal is to create an intimate setting that will foster thought provoking discussions while building and strengthening relations with consultant and plan sponsor participants. Additionally we hope to equip attendees with information that can be utilized for both immediate decision-making as well as forward planning of strategies.
